                                          BOOK GROUP

I quite like the book group idea, of how we get into groups, and have meeting, and all tha
I think its really cool. (especially when you get to unlock crackers!)

I was in in the running wild group with Caitlin, Silvia, Sharon, and Andrew nice cooperative people to work with. But some were a bit unreliable, but most of the time they'er pretty good and join in on conversations and remembered to bring food for when we unlocked crackers.

What I gained from the experience is understanding the book a bit more deeply and seeing it from different peoples perspectives.

THE NICKLE NACKLE TREE

The Nickle Nackle Tree by Lynley Dodd is a classic picture book that I used to make my dad read; cause at the time I used to crack up laughing at the different bird illustrations. It was classic drawing reference with so many things to draw, and the most rollicking rhymes to listen to!

"One Ballyhoo bird, kicking up a din.                                                  Two squawking Scritchet birds with legs so twiggy thin.
Three Tittle Tattle birds with twirly curls behind........"

I just love the way that silly nonsense words actually helps paint that picture in your head of what YOU might think the bird looks like... But when you look at the Illustrations inside the book you can really see how different you see things than other people; and don't forget those funny little characteristics each bird has! From lurking to friendly,
from quirkiness to sly, from bashful to sleepy and even those ones in that try to hide!

All of them seem to be somehow squeezed on this one tree, growing Nickle Nackle berries that are red as red can be. But... On this twisted, branch y tree with a jumble jam squeeze, can't always support such a  jam, so it then becomes...............

An OVERLOADED Nickle Nackle tree

Taupo

TAUPO

The term 1 holidays was all a big slumber party first in Taupo, then to Grandma and Grahams, then to a party at Oliver's, and a sleep over at his of course. But we're not gonna talk about all that. Were going to talk about my stay in Taupo. Which doesn't need a lot of explanation, but to sum it up, we were in the pool and playing tennis pretty much every day and all day, even though we were only there for two nights. Anyway back to the pool, it was boiling. Really, really boiling, and its because of the fact that it was heated in the earth like a..... A..... geyser or something I don't know and tennis was also alright even though the weather wasn't the best, rainy then not all the time!
