                                          BOOK GROUP

I quite like the book group idea, of how we get into groups, and have meeting, and all tha
I think its really cool. (especially when you get to unlock crackers!)

I was in in the running wild group with Caitlin, Silvia, Sharon, and Andrew nice cooperative people to work with. But some were a bit unreliable, but most of the time they'er pretty good and join in on conversations and remembered to bring food for when we unlocked crackers.

What I gained from the experience is understanding the book a bit more deeply and seeing it from different peoples perspectives.

THE NICKLE NACKLE TREE

The Nickle Nackle Tree by Lynley Dodd is a classic picture book that I used to make my dad read; cause at the time I used to crack up laughing at the different bird illustrations. It was classic drawing reference with so many things to draw, and the most rollicking rhymes to listen to!

"One Ballyhoo bird, kicking up a din.                                                  Two squawking Scritchet birds with legs so twiggy thin.
Three Tittle Tattle birds with twirly curls behind........"

I just love the way that silly nonsense words actually helps paint that picture in your head of what YOU might think the bird looks like... But when you look at the Illustrations inside the book you can really see how different you see things than other people; and don't forget those funny little characteristics each bird has! From lurking to friendly,
from quirkiness to sly, from bashful to sleepy and even those ones in that try to hide!

All of them seem to be somehow squeezed on this one tree, growing Nickle Nackle berries that are red as red can be. But... On this twisted, branch y tree with a jumble jam squeeze, can't always support such a  jam, so it then becomes...............

An OVERLOADED Nickle Nackle tree

Taupo

TAUPO

The term 1 holidays was all a big slumber party first in Taupo, then to Grandma and Grahams, then to a party at Oliver's, and a sleep over at his of course. But we're not gonna talk about all that. Were going to talk about my stay in Taupo. Which doesn't need a lot of explanation, but to sum it up, we were in the pool and playing tennis pretty much every day and all day, even though we were only there for two nights. Anyway back to the pool, it was boiling. Really, really boiling, and its because of the fact that it was heated in the earth like a..... A..... geyser or something I don't know and tennis was also alright even though the weather wasn't the best, rainy then not all the time!

Mission fair

MISSION FAIR

The mission fair was OK I guess, we didn't raise a lot of money
and practically the only people who came was the juniors, (and it was the most hilarious sight seeing them fight.) half the time they don't even know how to use the guns.
What I would do differently is to do another idea for the stall. and I'm not the only one who thinks so Ollie, Ethan, Fraser and me all think so.

Statistics

STATISTICS Reflection

WHAT AREAS HAVE I IMPROVED IN?
Well I probably improved in my mean, mode, median and range by far.

WHAT I STILL NEED TO WORK ON?
That's defiantly going to be how to draw a circle with my compass.

WHAT DID I DO TO HELP ME LEARN EFFECTIVELY?
I learned different sayings to help me remember each word e.g MODE MOST COMMON

EOTC week

EOTC week Reflection

MOST CHELLINGING Well

On Monday what I found the most challenging was Frisbee game
I found it really hard to through the Frisbee into the holler hoop
Tuesday well I didn't really find anything challenging
apart from splashing the opponents boat in a water fight,
Wednesday I found hard to cook our damper (I burnt the top of it )
Thursday it was hard to speak into the camera and Friday my legs were all sore
walking back down.

WHAT I FOUND EASY

Well I wouldn't say that anything was easy but little bits of the week
were hard but most of the time it was fine especially having my dad by my side
walking up Mt Kau  Kau.

WAS IT WHAT YOU EXPECTED

Well the whole EOTC week I had no idea about, well I then did
when I got handed the form and was soooooooo exited about the day.
The insteructers are not what I suspected, practicly everything isn't what I
expected.

WHAT WAS YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT

To be honest my proudest moment was coming back from sailing
because it steered the boat, changed taks which is changing
the direction of the sail and that's possibly my favourite moments as well.

REFLECTION

What I've been doing at school swimming is snorkelling.
What I've been doing is learning how to dive underwater and then come back
and blast out all the water that has drained into the snorkel.
That is also my goal to work on till the end of the lessons
