The things I'm Interested in...

The things I'm interested in?
well, for most of you when I say this you'll probably say....

'well that's an easy one! Everyone knows Tyler likes birds!'

Well... That is true but that's not all I'm interested in, and I'm going to talk to you about my secret like... Unless of course you want me to bore you guys out of your minds, Of countless pages about birds!

Dinosaurs!

Aren't they're amazing! Everything about then is beautiful, every bit of detail is spectacular and unique there are no two species quite like the other.

Dinosaurs lived in a very different world then it is today.
And could see the forever changing earth change before their eyes!

There were tree main time periods dinosaurs went through. Triassic, 251 to 199 million years ago
Jurassic, 199.6 to 145.5 million years ago. And Cretaceous, 145 to 66 million years ago.

Earth in the Triassic Period

The Triassic Period was the first period out of three, that the dinosaurs reined in and existed a mind bobbling 251 to 199 million years ago. The Triassic period followed a great mass extinction of the Permian period.
The climate of the Triassic was generally dry with hot summers and very cold winters. Here the oceans were heavily populated with marine reptiles, only 5% of animals lived on land.

Earth in the Jurassic Period

The Jurassic period, occurring 199.6 to 145.5 million years ago. During the Jurassic period the super continent Pangaea, began to split apart to form two smaller super continents. In the northern half was Laurentia who  will soon become North America and Eurasia, Atlantic and Mexico. In the southern half lay Gondwana who would form Australia, Madagascar, India, Australia, Africa, South America and New Zealand. The Jurassic was also dominated with large forests.

Earth in the Cretaceous Period

The Cretaceous Period was the last and longest period of the dinosaurs. It lasted for approximately 79 million years. The cretaceous is a evolutionary land mark, because during this time flowering plants evolved and with them new species like wasps and bees, which evolved to pollinate these new flowering plants. Birds started to take over the skys, and such variety of predators evolved around this time.

?

The Cretaceous Period also marked the end of the dinosaurs,. 65 million years ago and asteroid smashed in the face of the earth! Or that's what they think happened?
To be honest no one knows what actually happened that explained why the dinosaurs disappeared, and that most mammals, turtles, crocodiles, salamanders, and frogs survived. Birds escaped. So did snails, bivalves, sea stars (starfish), and sea urchins. Even hardy plants!

One idea is that small light animals were able to survive because they didn't need to eat as much like the mighty sauropods who had to eat a lot, to sustain their 190 to 240 ton weight!

To be honest no one knows.

But I would like to hear what you guys think happened in the comments section!

Until next time

Here is a cool gif of the continent through time
