Memories

Hey guys! Its TyTy here once again and by the way if you haven't noticed it is my 50th post!... well the winter wonder post was my 50th (last weeks post) and judging by the comments in the comment section people really liked it. So don't be afraid to check it out sometime! Maybe comment on it or even this one that your about to read, so lets swing right into it!
(Firstly I'll give you a brief overview on my Grandparents!)
My Grandparents...             Usually we would go up to our grandparent's house                 (mums side) in Palmerston North every holidays.(left is a picture of the city) But they don't live in the city in fact they live in a lifestyle block. (a lifestyle block is a small farm that is maintained without expectation of being a primary source of income)
They have a BIG house and a BIG outdoor space. Which make going to their house even more exiting! My grandparents are outdoorsy people so they plant lots of trees and turn a lot of the section into a planted garden. and Maintain it very well. Because grandma and Graham (Oh by the way another thing I haven't mentioned is that we call out grandad by this first name, Graham) anyway..... Because grandma and Graham live on a lifestyle block they have two sheep paddocks, and orchards which grows hazelnut and walnut trees, apples, mandarins, grapefruit and lemons. (and they make us these yummy deserts and cakes with their own crops for our arrival. I help sometimes) in other words they spoil us because they take us to the movies and then out to lunch afterwards, the pool and water park, the park and much, much more.

So anyway... The memory, it was during our holiday a few years ago at Himatangi beach, it was great. The sun, the warmth, no wind, it was all you could ask for, for a perfect beach holiday. so for a couple of days my Grandparents came down to stay with us (because the holiday house we were staying at was only a hour or so from their house) it had a loft which they stayed at for the time. Pretty much every day we walked down to the beach, walked our dog Coco, played and had picnics it was awesome.

But there was just one tiny little thing... one day there was lots of blue bottles (a type of jellyfish) but that didn't bother us or our dog who was jumping and playing with them, and the dead ones go crunch under for feet when you stand on them. So anyway we went swimming my brothers and I there we played and surfed until.... Joel got stung..... so he and dad walked home while grandma and Graham, mum, Oli and I stayed and continued playing.

Funny enough the day after my grandparents left, we funny enough went back to the beach Joel and dad walked down to the dairy (Which was just down the road) to grab something for us all to eat when it happened... at first I thought it was some sort of motorbike or car or something (because cars are allowed on the beach)But the ground started shacking and my sandcastle started to crumble, I got up immediately and saw the sea trembling and swaying. There was not a wave in sight. It was an earthquake. I don't remember what the magnitude was but it was very scary. Suddenly there was a stampede of everyone evacuating the beach.
Goodbye
